Welcome to Second Grade!

My name is Stacy Kutter and I'm thrilled to be teaching 2nd Grade at Boone this year! 

I graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Early Childhood Education and got my Master's in Liberal Arts from SMU after moving to Dallas. Thirty years ago I started my teaching career in 2nd Grade! It feels like it's full circle to be back in the classroom teaching 2nd grade after a 22 year break. I've also taught Kindergarten (6 years) and 3rd grade! I was a teacher at Hyer from 1998-2001 and left teaching full time to raise my two girls. I live in Richardson with my husband Mark. My daughter Sarah Grace graduated from Mizzou in May 2023 and my daughter Cammy is going to be a junior at UCLA this fall. We have a cat named Ramona Quimby and a maltipoo named Bizou.

I love traveling (France is my fav!), baking/cooking, reading, and yoga. Some of my favorite things are flavored sparkling water, chocolate, and coffee. 

I love the magic and excitement that children bring to school each day and I can't wait to learn together.
