Board of Trustees Approve 2% Raise At the regularly scheduled school board meeting on June 11, the Board of Trustees approved the district's budget for the 2024-25 school year. The budget includes a 2 percent raise for teachers and staff, along with a $2,800 increase in each employee's annual salary due to the district's medical contributions plan/salary swap.
Ashraf Mobh Named Boone Principal The Highland Park ISD Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Ashraf Mobh as the new principal of Boone Elementary School during the June 11 school board meeting.
For the Love of Reading Challenge This month’s Beanstack challenge is called For the Love of Reading. In this optional challenge, Boone students are asked to read 300 minutes for the month of February, that’s only 10 minutes a day!Students who complete the challenge will receive a certificate of completion and will get their picture on the Reader Leader Board in the library. The class with the highest participation will win the Golden Book Trophy!
The Solar Eclipse is on a school day Friendly reminder that Monday, April 8, is a school day! HPISD has issued solar eclipse glasses to all our students and staff so they can experience the rare phenomena together in a safe and engaging learning environment! #HPISD #SolarEclipse
Last Day of School & Early Release Times The last day of school is Friday, May 24, 2024. All campuses will have an early release at the following times: Elementary Campuses – 1 p.m.MIS – 1 p.m.HPMS – 12 p.m.HPHS – 12:30 p.m.
