Welcome to Third Grade! My name is Lainie Norris and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year!

 

I am so thankful that teaching is what I get to do every day. I strive to maintain a classroom environment where every child feels welcome, safe, respected, valued, and excited to learn. I enjoy forming connections with each of my students and helping them reach their full potential. 

 

I grew up in Longview, TX and graduated from Texas A&M University. I began my path in education at HPISD in 2018. This past year I gained experience in 3rd grade and teaching 4th grade. My husband, Mitchell, and I have one fur baby, our cat Minnie. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, puzzling, and listening to live music.
