Welcome to Third Grade! My name is Lainie Norris, and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year!

 

I am so thankful that teaching is what I get to do every day. I strive to maintain a classroom environment where every child feels welcome, safe, respected, valued, and excited to learn. I enjoy forming connections with each of my students and helping them reach their full potential. 

 

I grew up in Longview, TX, and graduated from Texas A&M University in 2014. I began teaching in HPISD in 2019. This will be my sixth year teaching third grade at Boone! My husband, Mitchell, and I have a two-year-old girl named Edie and a fur baby, our cat, Minnie. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing with Edie, reading, and listening to live music.
