Michael M. Boone Elementary School Home

Principal's Message

Welcome, Boone Bulldogs. Together we are making history in Highland Park ISD as the district’s first elementary school to open in more than 70 years. I am honored to be the principal of Boone Elementary School, and I hope your children are just as excited to come to school as I am. Our school district has a reputation of excellence in meeting the needs of the whole child, academically and socially.

We know our community expects the best, and our staff is committed to that expectation. As we welcome more than 400 students in our inaugural year, our educators will strive to provide outstanding experiences for children that continue the tradition of excellence that Highland Park expects.

I am thrilled at the support shown to our school as we have begun to establish an identity for our Boone Bulldogs. I encourage you to get involved in our PTO and Dads Club. Our volunteers help to make our school a welcoming, safe place for students to learn and grow. On behalf of our staff, we look forward to welcoming you and your children in our new school.

About Us

Boone Elementary School is the first elementary campus in HPISD to open since 1949 and the only HPISD school located in the City of Dallas.

Funds to build the campus were approved by voters in the 2015 bond election. The school boasts more than 40 classrooms, pods and flexible learning spaces for each grade, a large gymnasium and a cafetorium. The campus is named after Michael M. Boone for his dedicated service to the Highland Park community as an alumnus and previous school board president
