Cafeteria Account Set Up

To purchase food in the cafeteria, students may use cash or a cafeteria account.  Parents may set up a student’s account and add money to the account online or may bring a check or cash to the cafeteria.  

  • Go to eFunds (also available through Skyward by clicking on “Food Service” and then “Make a Payment”)
  • Click “Fund Lunch”
  • Click “Login”
  • Enter your Skyward username and password (case sensitive)
  • Select the child that you wish to make a payment for and enter the desired amount to add to student’s account
  • Click “Add To Cart”
  • Click “Begin Checkout” and enter payment information
  • Click “Pay Now”

 

Negative Balance Policy

The Boone PTO offers the cafeteria account payment option as a convenience to students and parents and, in turn, asks that parents help the cafeteria maintain a balanced budget by keeping their student’s cafeteria account balance positive at all times. If a student’s cafeteria account reaches a balance of negative $25, the account will be closed until payment is made.  If the student’s cafeteria account reaches a balance of negative $25 a second time, the account will be permanently closed for the remainder of the school year and the student will only be allowed to use cash for purchases in the cafeteria.  Failed payments (i.e. bounced or returned payments) will not be counted towards account balances.  To avoid negative account balances, the cafeteria encourages parents to set up their student’s cafeteria account to send low balance notifications and/or automatically replenished the account once the account drops below a certain balance.  See instructions below.

 

How to set up Low Meal Balance Notification

  • In eFunds, select the “Manage Account” tab on the menu bar on the left
  • Select “Notification Settings”
  • Turn on “Low Meal Balance for All Students”
  • Click “Confirm Settings”

 

How to set up Low Meal Balance Auto Reload Payments

  • In eFunds, select “Payment Settings” tab on the menu bar on the left
  • Select “Low Meal Balance Settings”
  • Click “Activate Low Meal Balance Settings”
  • Adjust settings to the desired amount
