To minimize and maintain social distancing, HPISD will limit visitors on campus. Virtual meetings will take place when possible. Before visitors are allowed in the building, campuses will conduct a visitor screening to determine if the visitors, including parents, have COVID-19 symptoms. Additionally, schools must screen to determine if visitors, including parents, have had close contact with an individual who is lab confirmed with COVID-19.
If a visitor indicates they were in close contact with an individual lab-confirmed with COVID-19, then they must remain off campus until the 14-day incubation period has passed. If a visitor is demonstrating symptoms or confirmed positive with COVID-19, then they are not permitted to return to the HPISD facility until the re-entry criteria are met. Screening information will not collect information regarding specific symptoms.
All individuals, including visitors, entering the HPISD facility will be required to have a temperature screening upon entry. Additionally, all visitors will be required to wear face coverings, maintain social distancing guidelines, and follow all campus safety protocols including limiting visits to only approved designated areas.
