Meet Mrs. Blankenship
My name is Taylor Blankenship and I am SO thrilled to be your child’s teacher this year! Fourth grade is going to be a year full of adventures, learning, and fun! I look forward to meeting you and partnering with you to make your child’s year a success.
A little bit about me…
I grew up in Allen, TX and graduated from Allen High School before planting my roots in Norman, Oklahoma. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma (BOOMER SOONER!) where I spent four years cheering on the Sooners from the sidelines and building a foundation in early and middle childhood development. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, I continued my education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University where I earned a Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction. This will be my third year at Highland Park ISD after having two wonderful years at Armstrong Elementary. It is such a joy and privilege to work with an amazing faculty and administration who share the same passion for teaching and learning.
I have been happily married to my college sweetheart for over a year and love calling Big-D our home! In our free time, we love to travel, explore new restaurants, and walk our two year-old Golden Retriever named Cooper around the Dallas trails. In the fall, we love watching college football and cheering-on our Sooners! Most of all, I am happiest when surrounded by family and friends and enjoy the memorable moments we have together.
I am so excited to help open Boone Elementary and look forward to the traditions we will make as Bulldogs! As a teacher, it is my goal to help create and nurture life-long learners and leaders in our community. I value the importance of developing a safe environment where every student feels appreciated and respected. I am ecstatic to start the year and look forward to the relationships and connections we will establish together!
