Welcome to Fourth Grade!

Hello Boone Bulldogs! My name is Kim Durall and although I am originally from Oklahoma, I am a Texan at heart. I moved to the Dallas area after graduating from Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!) and began my teaching career. I also have masters degrees from Dallas Baptist University and Teachers College, Columbia University.

I'm a proud dog mom and runner. I have completed four half marathons and one full marathon. You will see me running at the Dallas Half Marathon this year! I also love to travel and have volunteered in schools in Uganda, (now South) Sudan, South Africa, Costa Rica and Peru.

In my spare time, I love serving the community with DKG Society International and the Plano Area Alliance of Black School Educators. This spring I received the Dr. Rita Pierson Champion in Education Teacher of the Year award from PAABSE.

I have been teaching for fourteen years and fourth grade is my absolute sweet spot. I cannot wait to have an amazing year full of adventures with our fourth graders at Boone! Go Bulldogs!
